Inspection, returns and refunds
This page summarises clauses 5, 6, 9, 10 and 13 of the sale agreement. Read your complete agreement for its terms. Nothing on this page limits rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Your 15-day inspection period
Clause 5 allows 15 days after receiving the vehicle for inspection by an independent, appropriately qualified mechanic of your choice. Notify our team promptly of the findings and any concerns. This inspection period is not a blanket expiry date for all warranty, refund or statutory rights.
Rejecting the vehicle
Under clause 13(a), if you are dissatisfied with the vehicle or find it below your standards, email your rejection notice within 15 calendar days after taking possession. We initiate a full refund within 24 hours of receiving the notice and provide transfer confirmation. We acknowledge receipt within one business day; delayed acknowledgement or collection does not extend the refund deadline. Bank processing may affect when funds reach your account. This 15-day period does not limit warranty, breach or statutory rights. The right is not limited on this website to vehicles that are materially different from their description.
Under clause 13(b), the seller is responsible for delivery and transportation damage and covers all shipping taxes and associated costs if you refuse the vehicle. Contact our team to arrange safe return collection and the return of keys and documents.
Defects and contractual warranties
Clauses 6 and 7 cover ownership, clear title, absence of encumbrances, transfer documents, the accuracy of the odometer to the seller's knowledge and operating condition except for expressly disclosed defects. For a warranty breach, clause 6 requires you to stop using the vehicle immediately, park it safely and contact our team with your order reference and supporting details. A specific claim form is not required.
The agreement states that the seller will return the money for a breach of its warranties and meet expenses associated with a successful claim. Clause 6(c) provides a six-month warranty from the date you take possession of the vehicle. This does not limit your statutory rights or any applicable manufacturer warranty.
Conditions and termination
Clause 5 provides for termination by written notice where its conditions are not satisfied or waived after reasonable efforts, with a refund of money paid. Clause 10 provides for a breach notice and two business days to remedy a material breach, or termination where it cannot be remedied. If you validly terminate for the seller's breach, money paid is refundable. Follow the agreement's notice provisions.
How to contact us about a return
- Provide your order number and explain whether you are rejecting the vehicle, reporting a defect or raising a delivery issue.
- Share inspection findings and available photos or other supporting information.
- For a warranty breach, stop using the vehicle and park it in a safe place, as required by clause 6.
- Our team will coordinate the return and refund in accordance with your agreement.
These administrative steps do not introduce an additional approval condition, collection-before-refund condition or payment-validation exclusion that is not in the agreement.
Your consumer rights
Contractual benefits are additional to rights under Australian Consumer Law. A policy deadline or an expired contractual warranty does not automatically remove those rights. Refer to clause 9 of your agreement.

Six-month warranty by product type
The warranty starts when you take possession and has no kilometre limit. It covers defects under normal use in supplied components; claims reported during the six months remain eligible while assessed.
Cars and road motor vehicles
Engine or electric drive motor, transmission, drivetrain, steering, suspension, brakes, cooling, fuel, factory-fitted electrical and safety systems, where fitted.
Caravans and campers
Chassis, coupling, suspension, brakes, structural body, roof and water seals, installed electrical, gas and plumbing systems, and supplied fixed appliances. Motorhomes also include the engine, transmission and drive systems.
Boats and watercraft
Hull and structure, supplied propulsion engine or motor, drive, steering, fuel, cooling, installed electrical and bilge systems, and supplied trailer chassis, coupling and brakes.
Other products
Supplied structural, mechanical, electrical and safety components and fixed accessories described in the listing, where fitted.
Exclusions and claims
Normal consumable replacement, disclosed cosmetic wear, and damage caused by accident, misuse, overloading, unsuitable modifications or failure to follow required maintenance are excluded only to the extent they caused the fault and the law permits. These exclusions do not remove clause 13 rejection rights, statutory guarantees, title warranties or applicable manufacturer warranties.
Report the fault with your order reference and available evidence using the seller contact details in your agreement or our contact page. A specific form is not required. Stop using an unsafe product. We acknowledge claims within two business days and arrange a qualified assessment. For a proven warranty breach, the agreement provides a refund; repair or replacement may instead be agreed with you. We pay reasonable assessment, parts, labour and necessary recovery or transport costs for successful claims. Send receipts for reimbursement. Seek approval before non-urgent work; emergency safety measures and statutory claims are not prevented.
This is a voluntary seller warranty additional to applicable statutory warranties, consumer guarantees and manufacturer warranties. Statutory rights may last longer than six months.
Payment receipts under review
A payment receipt uploaded before the invoice deadline suspends reservation expiry while our team reviews it. Acceptance confirms payment; rejection ends the hold. After rejection the original deadline applies, so a deadline already passed can release the reservation. Uploading proof is not itself confirmation of cleared funds.
Notices by email
Reply to the email that delivered your contract, using its sending address. This is the notice address stated in clause 11. Notices are received when delivered to that email system. If you receive a delivery-failure message, contact our team and resend. We acknowledge your notice within one business day, but acknowledgement is not required to start the refund deadline. Keep a copy of your email.
